Automatic notification
If measurements reach critical values or equipment is in need of maintenance, the system can automatically send notifications to the operator. Criteria for sending alerts and who are receiving messages can be configured in the Embilink system.
Embilink supports many ways to alert you, these can be set up according to your wishes. It is also possible to use different alarm methods depending on whom should be alerted, or the importance of the alarm.
Notification Methods
E-mail
One email describing the reason for the notification can be sent to one or more recipients.
Here you can also enter information about how to handle the situation.
Pushover
Pushover is an APP that can be installed on mobile / tablet or PC. For example, when the mobile receives a pushover message, he will notify with a sound and message from Embilink. The advantage of Pushover is that it can wake up the mobile phone even if it is in “silent mode”, which may be useful if there are critical parameters monitored. The phone can also be configured with other warning sounds than, for example, SMS, so that alert messages differ and thus get greater attention.
SMS
Embilink can send SMS via SMS servers, or directly from equipment with built-in mobile telephony and SIM card. An advantage of SMS is that it can be used on older mobile phones that do not support the installation of apps. One drawback is that it requires some management around SIM card and subscription.
Physical alarm point
If you need a physical alarm point at location, such as a siren, light, dedicated alarm display, dashboard, or even more, Embilink can trigger that alarm. For example it can be configured so that very critical alarms will cause siren alarms on your site.
Others
Embilink can also send messages to HipChat, Slack, Sensu, Telegram and others. These systems have different characteristics and cost depending on whether if you need only notification or advanced communication systems with video conferencing, among others.
